General
System Requirements
LiveCharts is a browser-based application that requires Sun Java to be installed. Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 2.0 or greater are the recommended browsers for LiveCharts. Additionally, Ports 2812 and 80 are both required to ensure proper access.

Logging In
Once registration is complete, you'll be assigned a Username and Password, which are required for your access to the product on the Log In page. The Log In is case sensitive, so be sure to enter your Username and Password exactly as you receive them.

Symbol Lookup
You can use the Symbol Lookup to find symbols and symbol formats for indices, equities, futures, and more. The Symbol Search window contains three options for search criteria:
- Symbol
- Name / Keyword
- CUSIP (Committee on Uniform Securities Identification Procedures)

Account Maintenance
Manage your account online using Account Maintenance. Check your billing or make changes to your account using this feature. Account Maintenance provides 24 / 7 access to your account information, as well as many other benefits:
- Add / delete services (exchanges, news services, etc.)
- Pay your bill
- Change passwords
- Restart an account
- View billing history
- Update credit card

WATCH LIST WINDOW
Basic Watch List Functionality
You can easily track your symbols by entering them into Watch List window. Click inside an empty row in the Watch List window, and the cell under the "Symbol" column highlights. Type the symbol and press "Enter". The row should display data for the symbol that was entered.
To remove a symbol from the Watch List, click the symbol, and the cell will highlight. Then, press the delete key on your keyboard. Note: If you wish to remove the empty row from the Watch List, right mouse click on the empty row, and the Right Click Menu will appear. Select "Delete", and then choose the "Selected Row" option.

Headings
The Headings box allows you to select from a list of pre-set headings designed for stocks, futures, options and other contract types. There is also the ability to create and save new custom headings by using the "Customize" option in the drop-down menu.

Display Properties
You can set the background colors, font type and font size in the "Display Properties" menu. Horizontal and vertical gridlines can be turned on and off in this menu. For futures contracts, "Show Month Name" can be toggled on (e.g., ES DEC 09) or off (e.g., ES Z9). "Show Symbol as Description" will display the company name for the equity (or contract name for the futures contract), when it is checked, or the symbol when it is unchecked.
Best Column Fit
This feature will automatically resize the columns to fit the size of the window.
CHART WINDOW
Basic Chart Window Functionality
LiveCharts offers streaming, real-time charts with more than 30 technical analysis studies, along with a variety of line tools. Line, Bar, Candlestick and Area chart types are also available.
Editing Symbols and Intervals
The symbol and interval fields are located at the top of the Chart window. Enter a new symbol and hit "Enter" on your keyboard. In addition to the preset intervals (i.e., 1, 5, 10, D, W, M) you can type a minute interval (i.e., 2, 20, etc.) directly into the field and hit "Enter".

Adding a Study
To add a study to the Chart window, click the button located in the top left corner of the Chart window. To customize the study settings, double click the study title (in this case MA [$INDU,9]) or the study itself to bring up the "Properties" menu. To remove the study, select it (i.e., left click on the study title or on the study itself) and press the "Delete" key on your keyboard, or click the delete button located at the top of the Chart window.

Selection Tool
This feature allows you to add Trend Lines, Text, Fibonacci Retracement, Rectangle and Ellipse tools to the chart. From the "Selection Tool" drop-down menu, select the tool you wish to use. Hold the left-click button at the starting point, and drag the mouse to the end point to complete the trend line. Double click on the line to further edit the tool in the "Properties" menu.
To remove the line (or any selection tool), select it (i.e., left click on the line), and press the "Delete" key on your keyboard, or click the "Delete" button at the top of the Chart window.

THE MORE MENU
Basic More Menu Functionality
You can select "No Cursor Tracking" from the "More" menu to turn off Bar or Cursor Tracking. "Bar Tracking" creates a single vertical line on the cursor while "Cross Tracking" adds both vertical and horizontal lines on the cursor. "Chart Header" and "Data View" (Cursor Window) can also be de-selected from this window.
The "Snap" feature works in conjunction with the Selection Tools. When you are drawing a trend line with the "Snap" feature enabled, the cursor will "snap" to certain points on the grid, making it easier to gravitate toward the top or bottom of a bar.
All Sessions
You can also enable / disable "All Sessions" data, using this menu. "All Sessions" allows you to see pre-market and after-hours trading on the chart.
Chart Type
At the bottom of the "More" menu, you'll have the option of switching among athe Bar, Candlestick, Line and Area chart types.
QUOTES, HOT LISTS AND MORE
Hot Lists
Hot Lists offer the ability to spot patterns and trends, such as the biggest percentage gainers and losers, heavy call and put options activity, unusual volume and more. Each Hot List will display the top 10 results, based on stocks that meet the criteria for that list, and are updated once every 30 seconds during normal market hours.

Click the drop-down menu and select a Hot List. Each Hot List can be filtered by exchange with a large number ofmany search criteria to choose from including, Point and Percent Gainers/Losers, Volume, New Yearly Highs/Lows and many more.

Detailed Quote
The Detailed Quote window provides key statistics, such as OHLC, Year High/Low, EPS and more. There are several ways to change the symbol in the Detailed Quote window. You can click on an existing symbol in your Watch List or Chart window. Likewise, you can click on a symbol from your Hot List results.

Time & Sales
The Time & Sales tab is located next to the Detailed Quote tab. Time & Sales provides a tabular display of trade and bid / ask quotes. The fields include "Time", "Price", "Size", "Exchange" and "Info".

Right click on the Time & Sales area to filter by trade, bid and / or ask.

Market Depth
Toward the bottom of the Quotes & Hot List window, you'll find the Market Depth screen. Market Depth is available for NASDAQ symbols. The fields include "MMID" (Market Maker Identification), "Bid", "Ask" and "Size". An additional subscription is required to access this feature.

Each price point is differentiated by color. Yellow signifies the highest bid or lowest ask quote (Inside Market). Green, pink, blue, orange and gray represent the next best quotes in descending order. White signifies other data (miscellaneous price points).
OPTION CHAIN AND NEWS
Option Chain
The Option Chain window arranges the calls on the left and puts on the right. To change the root symbol, click on a symbol in your Portfolio or Chart window. This window is an add-on feature that requires an additional subscription.

Filters
The filters for the Option Chain window are located on the title bar. There are five filters: Month, In the Money, Near the Money, Out of the Money and All Strikes. You can also access the filters by right mouse clicking on the Option window and selecting "Filter".

News
Follow the top stories with the News window in LiveCharts. With access to BusinessWire, PR Newswire, Dow Jones News and RTT Pro News, among others (and for an add-on fee above and beyond the LiveCharts subscription fee), you can stay up to date on the financial headlines of the day. The blue text indicates a headline only (no story) while the black text designates an available story. The story can be accessed by double clicking on the headline.

News Filters
The 5 methods of filtering the News window include All News, Active Symbols, Symbol, Keyword and Top stories.

All News
If the News window is set to "All News", it will give you all the news available for the three news services. (BusinessWire, PR Newswire and RTT Pro News).
Active Symbols
If the News window is set to Active Symbols, the headlines displayed will include those related to the symbols in your Watch List window.
Symbol
If set to "Symbol", the window will display headlines for a particular symbol only. You can change the symbol by typing in a new symbol at the top of the News window or by clicking one of the symbols in your Watch List.
Keyword
The Keyword filter allows you to enter in a keyword to search for a news headline or story.
Top Stories
If the News window is set to "Top Stories", the headlines will pull the top headlines of the day.
