Traders Go Mobile with Full Power

The trading world has evolved. Traders want to trade from their home, airports, hotels and the office. They don’t want to be tied down anymore. Until now, the laptop was not powerful enough to handle the trader’s demands successfully. Now, all that has changed with the combination release of the new Intel mobile i7 CPU, Microsoft Windows 7 and the external video hub.

Now, for the first time, a trader can go mobile with a laptop trading computer with all the power of an Intel i7 desktop workstation. Many of the new laptop i7 releases come with a 17-to-18.4-inch screen size, which also supports easier viewing for the trader. It gives the trader a large screen essential for multi-tasking.

Combine that with the new Windows 7 64-bit software and 6 - 8 GB of memory, and that gives the trader a powerful trading laptop computer never available before. The only things missing are the multiple monitors that most traders need to trade successfully. Now, that issue has also been solved.

The external video hub fixes this dilemma. It adds desktop graphics power to the trading setup when needed. The trader has the ability to connect and trade with up to three 30-inch monitors plus access to the laptop screen. The video hub uses a powerful graphics video card, just like those used in trading workstations. Two of the screens are connected to the video hub, and one is connected to the port available on most laptops.

The video hub connects through the laptop’s express slot. (By the way, the laptop’s express slot is 9 times more powerful than the previous card bus slots used two years ago.)

So, the trader can now use the three large trading monitors for charts plus the laptop screen for data and order entry sufficient for any serious trader.

This means that the trader can take eSignal charts anywhere with an i7 laptop. He or she has the power of a trading workstation and the ability to hook up three big external monitors when needed. This new development will increase the mobility of the trader and may change the way he or she trades. No longer is the trader tied to the home or office.
