AT&T TiltTM for QuoTrek
AT&T Tilt is the highly anticipated Windows Mobile 6 smart phone, which is perfect for getting real-time quotes, news and charts from eSignal’s QuoTrek. It gives you complete portable access, so you can manage and trade your complete portfolio. It eliminates the need to make repeated calls to your broker. It gives you freedom from your office or home trading computer. It gives you trading links to your broker’s wireless trading (TD AMERITRADE, Fidelity, Schwab and more).
You can also send and receive email, explore the Internet, watch streaming video, listen to satellite radio, talk and send data simultaneously.
I had an opportunity to review the unit using eSignal’s QuoTrek. I feel that this is the most revolutionary portable trading device ever produced. No other PDA or smart phone from any company can compare to this one, in my opinion! Now, let me give you the specifics of what you can do with QuoTrek on the AT&T Tilt.
QuoTrek, using the AT&T Tilt, gives you 16 customizable analytical studies, including moving averages, Bollinger Bands and stochastics to mention a few. It has an Auto-Scroll window that gives you a detailed view of the most recently traded issues in your portfolio. Streaming charts displayed in real time in a line, bar or candlestick chart with time intervals of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes, as well as daily, weekly and monthly charts.
The quote window supports fields such as ask, bid, change, change percent, 52-week high, low, time, volume and so on. You can list options for the underlying symbols for your portfolio. Plus, you can keep informed with news events that affect the symbols in your portfolio with news from PR Newswire, Business Wire and soon from other top sources in the industry, such as Dow Jones, MarketWatch, Comtex and AFX International News.
The device can be used in both the portrait or landscape mode and has a slide-out screen that tilts 40 degrees for a convenient viewing angle. It is an all-in-one device for simultaneous voice, data and email and includes a 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and a GPS. It has Wi-Fi and 3G fast wireless broadband connectivity and even access to UMTS / HSDPA networks when you are using it abroad with a next-generation processor.
It has a roomy keyboard with large buttons that are tactile and backlit so you can easily see them even in the dark. It’s easy to pull up your portfolio, review news and even place orders in full daylight or when it is dark.
The AT&T Tilt has a touch screen that can also be used with your finger or the included stylus. It measures 2.8 inches diagonally and shows 65,536 colors at 320x240 pixel resolution. QuoTrek’s text and charts look very sharp and bright on the screen. The unit measures 4.4 inches long by 2.3 inches wide by 0.7 inches deep and weighs only 6.1 ounces.
The phone is very modern-looking, has a black finish and is comfortable to hold. It runs the Professional edition of Windows Mobile 6 and has the full Microsoft Mobile Office Suite for using Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. It also includes Adobe Reader.
