eSignal 11.2 Preview
Even though eSignal 11.1 was just released last month, we are already well on our way toward releasing 11.2. With two-month release cycles, new features and enhancements are flying out the door quickly for the 11 series. One of the biggest on the 11.2 list has just a mention below, but, as you will also read here, we are working hard on bringing back 10.6 features as well.
Line Alerts
Trend lines now have the option of turning on an alert feature, so you can be notified when price has broken support or resistance levels. Numerous alert options can be set, such as an audio alert, a pop-up alert or an email alert. There is also the ability to change the color of the line when it is broken by the price data.
Also included is the ability to automatically re-arm the alert. This is of particular importance because it is common for resistance levels to become support levels in future price patterns.
Measuring Tools and End Types
An additional line drawing enhancement has been added to measure the distance between two anchor points. Also added is a percentage amount to track performance. For those who need to perform time analysis, this tool can also count the number of bars between two points. Out of these measurements, slope can also be derived and displayed here.
Aesthetics are important, and new "end types" will help with this to give additional options for displaying various arrowheads, circles, squares and diamonds at the end of a given line.
Opening eSignal 10 Pages
eSignal 11.2 now allows the partial importing of 10.6 pages through the Open Page command. This is largely beneficial for those who have many pages from 10.6 and earlier and are just converting to eSignal 11 for the first time. The windows that you are currently able to import from earlier versions of eSignal are the Quote Window, Summary Window, Portfolio and Advanced Chart.
Back Up eSignal 11 with Ease
Soon to be coming is the ability to back up all your pages, EFS studies, preferences and other eSignal 11 aspects all in one file with a single click! This makes it simple to preserve all your efforts in the case of a system failure or other such event.
In addition, it is easy to move all of these items from one computer to another by saving onto a USB drive or CD. Better yet, try saving to a cloud-based solution such as eSignal File Share or Dropbox and access your eSignal work from anywhere!
