eSignal 11.1 Preview
As you've heard, last month we launched eSignal 11.0, a brand-new application written from the ground up. We knew from the outset that creating something from scratch would mean that not all the features would make it into the first few releases. Version 11.1 represents a combination of new features and brings in another round of 10.6 features. We've also been listening carefully to all of the feedback sent in on 11.0 and have made a number of adjustments based on that as well.
Here's a brief preview of a few of the features coming in the next version of eSignal.
Style Templates
A combination of new and old, the style templates in eSignal 11.1 allow users to create various sets of indicators and change them quickly with a drop-down menu. Either set up a default template for all of your charts or create multiple templates to select on the fly…the choice is up to you.
Bar Replay is making a strong comeback in eSignal 11. With an easy-to-use slide panel and a new resolution feature, this feature allows for some creative approaches to replaying a trading day. The resolution drop-down menu enables traders to look at a higher interval, while replaying the data at a lower interval.
For instance, in the 15-minute chart shown below, I have a 3-minute resolution selected. In the background, eSignal 11 will download 3-minute bars, and, as I replay the 15-minute bars, they will update five times each (once for each 3-minute period.)
Watch List Comments
The Comment column has also returned; just right click the Watch List heading area to add a new Comment column. The best part about the new 11 feature? You can add more than one Comment column to easily keep track of all your thoughts throughout the trading day.
