eSignal 11 -- Chart Drawing Tools
eSignal 11 offers chart drawing instruments that provide users with access to a broad range of tools that can help them with their technical analysis, market timing, locating support and resistance levels, recognizing price patterns, confirming trends and predicting possible future trend development.
Accessing the Drawing Tools
You can access the drawing tools by clicking the Drawing Tools icon located in the chart's title bar.
Alternatively, you can access the Drawing Tools by right clicking inside the Chart window and selecting Insert Drawing Tool. A side menu will appear that displays the different drawing tools and their corresponding hot keys. If you own the Advanced GET version, other tools in this toolbar and menu (Gann Box, Gann Angle, Time and Price Squares, MOB, TJ's Ellipse, PTI and Localize Elliott Line, etc.) are available.
Right Click Functions
Right clicking the mouse on the Trend Line icon gives you the option to select from among Default, Arrow, Price Ruler, Ray or Restore Original Defaults, or custom settings.
Right clicking the mouse on any other drawing tool will give you the option to select from among any customized template or Restore the original defaults.
Right clicking the mouse on any drawing tool in a chart will give you the option to edit, hide, cut, copy, duplicate or save templates or remove that drawing tool.
To edit any drawing tool, right click on it and select Edit to bring up the Edit Chart Dialog Box. Select the drawing tool you would like to edit in order to make changes.
You can also double left click on the drawing tool to bring the dialog box.
Line Tool Alerts
You have the ability to set alerts based on price levels displayed by any line tool in the Drawing Tool Bar. With the Ellipse, Rectangle and Fibonacci Circle, the alert is generated by the boundary line of the shape. So, now you can be notified when the price is near the support or resistance levels by lines or by the boundary of a shape.
You can choose to be alerted with an audio, pop-up and / or email alert or with a change in the color of the line for a few seconds.
Price Ruler
Trend Lines have the ability to measure the distance (time and price) and the slope between two anchor points. It can also display a percentage amount to track performance. To enable the price ruler, right click the mouse over an existing Trend Line and click Edit: Check the corresponding boxes for Price Distance, Percent Distance, Bar Distance and Slope, as needed.
