eSignal 11.4 Preview
2011 was an amazing year for eSignal 11. With its initial launch early in the year and another three more versions since then, the product has been quite a hit. It's time to look forward, though, and take a peek into what's coming next.
eSignal 11.4 continues the trend of blending innovation and proven tools with new features such as Alerts on Studies, Customizable Toolbars and Workspaces.
Alerts on Studies
The popular line alert feature from eSignal 11.2 will be extended to all built-in and Advanced GET studies in the next version. In the following screenshot, you'll see an example of a Stochastic crossover that is brought to our attention through a pop-up and a blinking circle in the study pane itself. An alert log will also be available to view a history of past alerts.
Adding an alert is just as easy as a double click and then putting a check in the type of alert you want to set up. In the screenshot shown below, we are adding an alert to both the upper and lower bands of a Bollinger Band study. Depending on market conditions, this could bring to my attention the possibility of a reversal or a breakout. However, in either case, the trade condition is important to know about for my system, and the new Alerts on Studies feature makes it possible to track many more symbols in real time.
Customizable Toolbars
Many traders use applications in different ways…some prefer hot keys; some prefer right-click menus while others like clicking on icons. eSignal 11.4 gives a tremendous level of flexibility for setting up your own toolbars exactly the way you want. Later this winter, when eSignal 11.4 is released, it will even come preloaded with a variety of toolbars to get you started.
Workspaces
Many of the requests we've received since launching eSignal 11 have revolved around better management of pages. As a first step, we are introducing Workspaces. This feature allows you the ability to maintain groups of pages and switch between them with a single click. Workspaces can also be exported and imported for use on other PCs. eSignal File Share, Dropbox or other cloud file management service is a great way to use this feature!
