Your Trading Computer Just Got Cooler
By Larry Jacobs -- Editor of Traders World magazine
The Sonata Trading Computer just added a new feature that allows it to be over-clocked up to 4.00 GHz yet run 30 percent cooler. It is now, perhaps, the fastest trading computer on earth, which is excellent for faster financial quotes, charts, back testing and fills.
The computer was developed for high-performance trading. It uses a CPU cooling solution that outperforms stock coolers by more than 30 percent. It also uses a copper CPU cooling plate and integrated pump connected to a 120 mm radiator and high-efficiency, low-noise fan.
Its best feature is that it allows the computer to be over-clocked and yet maintain high performance and excellent stability. Unlike traditional liquid cooling solutions, it uses a closed-loop system that is supplied pre-filled and fully connected, which uses low permeability tubing that virtually eliminates evaporation and leaking. (See the picture of the CPU cooler shown above.)
Until today, most innovations for computers were for gaming computers, but this one is for a trading computer. It eliminates the bulky and unmanageable heat pipe-based air coolers in many trading computers. The Sonata changes the game, packing an incredible amount of cooling into a more compact solution and delivering a better-performing trading computer than any other out there.
Tests performed in the lab show significant improvements over traditional air-based trading computers for faster trading through quicker computer speed and data flow.
