New eSignal Indices Packages
Effective December 1, 2009, changes have been made with respect to indices data. Sources for many of the most widely followed North American market indices began to assess licensing fees for access to real-time indices. This includes exchange-based indices, as well as indices such as Dow Jones and S&P.
Previously, North American indices were included with your eSignal subscription at no cost. However, the exchanges and index providers now require that data vendors (including eSignal) separately entitle the indices and charge an access fee. The groupings are as follows:
- NYSE Euronext Indices (included with NYSE Euronext)
- AMEX Indices (included with AMEX)
- NASDAQ Indices (included with NASDAQ)
- OPRA Indices (included with OPRA and available as a separate package)
- Dow Jones Indices (must select, but there is no fee per month)
- S&P Cash Indices (stand-alone service for $2 a month)
- Market Data Index (MDI) Service (stand-alone service for $2 a month)
For those not currently subscribing to NYSE, AMEX and / or NASDAQ, we've created an index package that contains indices from those three exchanges.

Additionally, we're providing delayed indices data to all eSignal subscribers at no additional cost.

Use the following Index Lookup tool to help you determine which package is required for the indices you are tracking. Just type the index you wish to check or choose to see all the symbols associated with each package: http://www.esignal.com/support/search_symbol.aspx

Account Maintenance
To add any or all of the new indices packages, we strongly recommend doing it online. You can use eSignal's Account Maintenance to access your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no wait times.
Once you've logged into Account Maintenance, click "Add/Cancel Add-on Services"; then, select "Real-Time Data Services" and click "Continue". When you have finished selecting the services you need, press the "Complete This Transaction" button.
