eSignal News provides one of the most robust news offerings of any market data service, including Dow Jones, COMTEX and AFX International News. eSignal News is delivered in a real-time, streaming fashion, so you’re guaranteed to get the news as it’s released without having to refresh the screen for updates. Historical news of up to 90 days is available on most news services.

Fully Customizable News Tickers

eSignal News is integrated into eSignal, so you can monitor your portfolio and be alerted to news that may affect the issues you’re trading. The news can be viewed in eSignal in the news ticker or in the eSignal News Manager. The news ticker can be displayed vertically or horizontally to allow you to easily view headlines as they come in. You can customize the news ticker to only display news headlines on a specific set of symbols, by service or based on a particular quote window. And, just by clicking on a headline in the news ticker, you can display the story.

Powerful News Manager

The eSignal News Manager allows you to display today’s headlines or historical headlines from all news services or to display headlines by symbol, keyword or service. The News Manager can also be used to perform complex searches, so you can view headlines that meet a specific set of criteria. The News Manager can be accessed easily by right clicking on a symbol in the Quote window and selecting News to view all the headlines for a particular symbol. The value of our 90-day database comes into play when you want to do something specific, such as look for all headlines on MSFT that include the word "upgrade." Even though the News Manager would go back through the entire database, the results would be limited to the relevant information you're looking for.

Sophisticated News Alerts

eSignal contains a sophisticated news alerts system. The News Headline Count field in the Quote window keeps track of how many headlines have been received for a particular stock. The number appears in bold when unread headlines exist for that symbol and dim when all headlines have been read. Just click on the headline count to view the news. Additionally, news alerts can be set on any symbol, so you can be alerted to news either visually or audibly as it is received. News alerts can also be sent to your pager or cell phone, so you can track news remotely.
