OPTIONS DATA AND FEATURES

eSignal has the data and tools options traders need to make their best trades:

Options Montage Window

Download a snapshot options chain and then turn these options into dynamic, real-time updates without using up your symbol count viewable at one time.

Just right click on a symbol from a Quote, Portfolio or Detail window and select Autolist to open an Options Montage window for that symbol.

You can add complete options analytics, including implied volatility, intrinsic value and the Greeks, such as gamma, Rho, theta and vega and recalculate them by clicking the Recalculate Options Analytics toolbar.

You can refresh the data while in static mode or turn on the dynamic updates to see all activity for each option symbol.

(The Options Montage window is not available with eSignal Premier.)

Daily Options History

Plus, our daily history on options includes the open / high / low / close, daily history for individual strikes.

Other Options-Focused Features

Click to enlarge for Option Chain Filter
Customize your settings for easier viewing of in-, near- and out-of-the-money, as well as put / call pairs.
  • Option Chain Filters -- Allows users to set background colors for strikes based on the underlying equity's current last price with calls immediately below and puts immediately above current price coded for in-the-money, the next set above and below current price coded for near-the-money and the remaining strikes coded for "out-of-the-money"; also allows customization of number of strikes shown for each designation
  • Single-Sided Setting -- Brings up the last quote update on the opposite side of a single-sided quote in a Time and Sales window so as to keep the quote always displayed as a buy / sell pair no matter how disparate the amount of activity on both sides of the pair
  • Underlying Symbol Field -- A column heading choice in the Quote window field list that, when added, displays the underlying equities for options you are looking at in a Quote, Summary or Detail window
  • Option Description for Individual Strikes -- Shows the underlying equity followed by the strike information (including whether it's a Call or Put) under the Name of Instrument column
  • Option Roots -- In an options chain, entering a root (for example, MSQ) gets the data for the underlying equity to appear in the Level I area; entering a root into a Detail window causes the symbol to change to the underlying equity and brings in the data for the equity
  • Option Expiration -- A field choice for all window types that support option symbols
  • Non-Standard Options Information -- Appearing in a column called "Option Type," this field can be added to Summary, Quote, Detail and Options Chain windows; the column will display this data for equities and their individual options; individual options or an options chain will list information about the Non-Standard status (for example, lot size followed by text explanation, as applicable) under the "Description" column. The "Description" column information is visible for individual options rather than underlying equities because multiple roots often have different descriptions.
