| The spread engine allows users greater control over the formatting of the data when they create user-defined spreads. |
Spread Engine Capability for Complex Spreads and Ratios -- The spread engine's capabilities allow you to control the decimal placement of the spread, including the display of the resulting symbol in some non-standard formats, such as treasuries and grains. Set to the default, the results will be shown in the format of the first symbol in the spread.
When comparing two treasuries, the result will be in the same format, so you can see it in 32nds instead of straight decimal format. When comparing 2 symbols of different formats, the spread engine lets you see the result in one of the root symbol formats instead of just in decimal format. |
Quoteboard -- Allows
you to display the open, high, low, close, change and % change
for multiple symbols and base the background color of each cell
on Net Change, as well as customize the fields and field placement |
Other Futures-Focused Features |

In addition to the marketprofile window and the
Quoteboard window, eSignal also features a Fast Market Indicator for
spotting overly-busy markets where you're not guaranteed your trade
will be filled. You can also view Contract Highs and Lows. Point and
Figure charts, including on tick charts (read

eSignal
-- More bang for the future trader's buck!
Electronic Volume -- This field displays the real-time volume of electronically traded futures contracts, such as the E-Minis. It displays along with a column showing the standard Volume field, which will continue to display the prior day's official volume. |
| The Settlement Price and Date fields, the Volume and EVolume fields, along with the Last field, help futures traders more readily see real-time versus "official" and / or prior-day prices. |
Settlement Price -- This field shows the official settlement price of the most recent trading session for each futures contract. It displays in its own column while the Last Price field shows new activity. |
Settlement Date -- Related to the new Settlement Price field described previously, this field displays the date associated with that settlement price. |
Combined Session Symbols -- All domestic contracts that have both a day and night session have a separate symbol to combine the day and evening sessions in addition to symbols for the individual sessions.
| The names associated with each symbol are descriptive enough to clearly indicate to the user which sessions they cover. |
Aggregate Open Interest -- This set of symbols allows users to view aggregate open interest for all active months of an individual contract.
| A quote window with symbols showing aggregate open interest is sorted so that you can quickly spot the contracts with the most overall interest at the top. |
Aggregate Volume -- The display of these symbols is the same as the open interest symbols described previously, showing most active contracts based on volume.
| Data shown for both open interest and volume is the official value from the exchanges and represents the prior day's activity. |
