Windows Mobile Pocket PC Compatible Devices

There are two types of Microsoft Windows Mobile devices, those that run a version of the Windows Mobile Pocket PC OS and others that are more like handsets using the Windows Mobile Smartphone platform. Currently, CBOT ADVANTAGE Wireless works on almost all Windows Mobile Pocket PC PDAs running Windows Mobile 2005, 2003 Second Edition, 2003 and 2002.

We are providing here a selected list of Pocket PC devices that have been tested and are known to be compatible with CBOT ADVANTAGE Wireless. If you don’t see your device in this list, and it is running Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone platform 2005 or 2003 Second Edition, most likely, CBOT ADVANTAGE Wireless will work on it. Most of the newer PDAs are based on Intel XScale microarchitecturerun, and CBOT ADVANTAGE Wireless works well on these newer devices.

Palm-Compatible Devices

Currently, CBOT ADVANTAGE Wireless works on most of the newer Palm devices, running Palm OS 4.0 and Palm OS 5.0. The biggest single change in Palm OS 5 is that it runs on a new hardware platform, using ARM®-compliant processors from industry leaders, such as Intel, Motorola and Texas Instruments.

Because Palm OS 5 is a fully ARM-native, 32-bit operating system running on new hardware, it allows dramatic improvements in speed and capability for the platform and the software.

  • Palm Tungsten C
  • Palm Tungsten T
  • Palm Tungsten W

Data delivery performance will be affected by the speed of the carrier service you use with your particular hardware. The data you'll receive will be as real-time as is possible, given current wireless capabilities. As those capabilities improve, so will the speed of the market datafeed.

*The CBOT ADVANTAGE Wireless font size on the Treo 650 is slightly smaller compared to that of other devices. A larger font size is being developed and will be announced here once it becomes available.
